Hacker Graphite Concrete

East Kilbride

2023

Designed by

Chris

Set within a home in East Kilbride, this project introduced a confident concrete-inspired palette tailored to suit its owner and her lifestyle. The client was immediately drawn to the putty-toned graphite finish, though there was a natural concern that it could feel too stark without careful balance.

Graphite concrete doors and matching worktops create a strong architectural backdrop, softened by the warmth of an oak floor and subtle purple accents that reflect the client’s personality. To improve both comfort and practicality, the existing dining table was replaced with a bespoke built-in bench and matching table beside the sliding doors. The seating provides additional concealed storage while creating a comfortable spot to enjoy natural light throughout the day.

The result is a kitchen that feels modern and self-assured, yet calm and easy to live with — a space designed around everyday use as much as visual impact.
