Modern Matt Graphite with Vintage Oak

Set within a semi-detached family home in Clarkston, this project involved relocating the kitchen entirely. Originally positioned at the rear in a compact U-shape, the kitchen felt disconnected and left little room for proper dining.

The brief was to start again, improving flow and creating a more practical layout for everyday family life and entertaining.

By repositioning the kitchen along the length of the room, we were able to establish a clearer working zone while opening up the rear of the space for a dedicated dining area. Matt graphite cabinetry creates a strong contemporary foundation, balanced by cognac oak accents that introduce warmth and depth. A bronzed mirror splashback reflects natural light, helping the room feel more expansive without losing its grounded character.

The result is a kitchen that feels purposeful and cohesive, with improved circulation and space to gather. A complete reworking of the room rather than a simple update.
