Nobilia Living Room

East Kilbride

Designed by

Chris

Set within a terraced family home in Calderwood, this project was designed to divide a single open room into two clear zones for living and dining. Storage was the main driver, with the need to accommodate board games, toys, records and everyday items without overwhelming the space.

A low media unit anchors the living area, providing dedicated storage for consoles, a record player and general use items while keeping the layout clean and uncluttered. Across the room, a larger sideboard introduces a more vertical presence, incorporating drawers, concealed storage and illuminated display cabinets. A small open section doubles as a serving area, allowing the space to adapt easily when entertaining.

Sierra Oak and satin grey finishes are used consistently across both areas, tying the room together while maintaining a calm, natural feel. The result is a space that feels organised and balanced, with clearly defined zones that still read as one cohesive room.
