Modern Industrial Oxide Kitchen

Jackton

Designed by

Alex

Set within a semi-detached family home in Jackton, this project was designed around two clear priorities: a large central island for cooking and socialising, and a dedicated bank of tall units to house the main appliances. The brief was to create a layout that felt open and practical, while still delivering a strong, modern aesthetic.

The island forms the centre of the space, incorporating both sink and hob to create a single, efficient working zone. This allows the surrounding layout to remain clean and uncluttered, with the tall bank neatly accommodating the oven, combination microwave and fridge freezer. Hacker Oxide and brushed steel finishes introduce an industrial edge, grounded by a Sensa Black Beauty granite worktop that adds weight and durability. A wall-mounted TV is positioned to remain visible from the island, allowing recipes or media to be followed without interrupting the flow of the space.

The result is a kitchen that feels structured and purposeful, with a clear division between preparation, storage and circulation — a layout designed to support both everyday use and more sociable cooking.
